Ash Rizin
Kyle Jesperson and Allison Lynch justifiably walked away with Betty Mitchell Awards for their performances – arrogant and insecure in equal measure – as a suburban gangsta and his girlfriend in the hip-hop musical Ash Rizin' at Alberta Theatre Projects.
Kelly Nestruck, The Globe and Mail, TOP 10 Theatre picks of the year
Ring of Fire
There are some standout musical moments, too — a piano duel between Atwell and Semenko in Straight A's in Love and a fiddle battle between Lynch and Grandmont in Jackson are both spectacular…Jesse Grandmont and Allison Lynch's fiddle duel is a musical highlight of Rainbow Stage's Ring of Fire, based on the music of Johnny Cash… There are also moments when Ring of Fire finds a different, quieter kind of power — a stripped down, haunting take on All Over Again by Lynch and Grandmont is stunning.
Joff Schmidt, CBC
Essay and the Russian Play
…Lynch offers an authentic blend of youthful directness and indifference as freshman Pixie…
The Calgary Herald 2009
Closer
…both Lynch and Luhning give fantastic all-in performances as the cuckolded partners capable of inflicting damage of their own. Without a doubt, it’s the scenes featuring these two where the real heat and discomfort of the plot gets turned up.
ApplauseMeter 2014
Romeo & Juliet
Lynch makes for a marvellous Juliet. She looks the part, delivers the poetry authentically and invests the character with a seriousness of purpose that reflects her truth: that what might seem like a teenage crush to outsiders is an all-consuming passion for her.
